OpenTodo
A self-hosted to-do app with projects, boards, reminders and shared lists, free with no paid tier.
About OpenTodo
OpenTodo is a local-first task manager that runs on your own server, as one Docker container or a ~23 MB binary with a single SQLite file. It covers projects and boards, recurring tasks, reminders with web push, time blocking, shared projects, CalDAV, a REST API and CLI, imports from Todoist, Things and others, and optional end-to-end encryption. It works offline as a PWA on phones and computers. There is no hosted plan: you run it yourself (or join someone's server) and create an account there. A public demo resets after a few hours. Caveats: it is very new (started October 2026, v0.10), much of the code is written by AI coding agents from written specs, there are no native mobile apps, and some integrations still need real-world testing. The app has no telemetry; the project website counts visits with self-hosted Umami. An optional AI assistant is off by default and uses your own API key.
