EdgeEver
A self-hosted notes app and knowledge base with the classic three-pane layout, web clipper and apps for every platform.
About EdgeEver
EdgeEver is an AGPL-3.0 notes and knowledge-base app with the classic three-pane layout (notebook tree, note list, editor), rich text or Markdown, revision history, mind maps and diagrams, tables, ENEX import from Evernote, a web clipper, and an MCP endpoint for AI agents (BYOK). There is no hosted plan except a daily-reset demo: you deploy on Cloudflare’s free tier or with Docker on your own VPS/NAS. Cloudflare R2’s free allowance still requires a payment method on file to activate. Official clients cover Web, Windows, macOS, Linux (AppImage preview), Android and iOS and keep an offline copy; an account on your instance is required. Many GitHub forks exist because Cloudflare deploy docs tell users to fork the repo. The Windows installer is unsigned (SmartScreen may warn); update packages are still Ed25519-verified, and Windows asks before installing. On macOS and Linux the desktop app can auto-download updates and install them when you quit.
