Hop
A free menu bar toolkit for Mac: system monitor, clipboard history, window snapping, text recognition, timer and more.
About Hop
Hop is a free MIT menu-bar toolkit for macOS 14+ (Apple silicon and Intel) by a solo developer. You enable only the modules you need: system monitor (load, temperatures, battery), clipboard history that also keeps files, window snapping, on-screen text and QR recognition, screenshots with annotation, draw-on-screen, Pomodoro timer, time tracker with to-dos, keep-awake, file converter, app uninstaller, VPN switches, an app firewall (on by default; quiet until you add rules), speed test, and an optional lite torrent client (engine downloaded only if you turn that module on). The maker’s hop.tools/alternatives pages compare it to paid utilities and state where those apps are still better. No account, no analytics, no crash reporting. Builds are Developer ID signed and notarized; by default Hop checks hop.tools hourly (version number only) and silently installs updates when you have been idle, which you can turn off.
