About Snitch
Snitch is a network monitor and outbound firewall that shows every connection your computer makes, which app made it and where it goes, on a live graph and world map with a local 24-hour history. It flags port scans, beaconing, possible data exfiltration and trackers, and lets you block IPs, domains, apps or ports through the system firewall, with a Lockdown mode and, on Linux only, Little Snitch-style ask-on-connect prompts. Data and geolocation stay on your machine and no account is needed, but the desktop app downloads and installs updates from GitHub by default (can be turned off in Settings). AGPL-licensed and very young, with many releases a day; it needs admin rights, the macOS build is Apple Silicon only and not notarized, and Windows builds are unsigned and need Npcap.
