DoodleNote
Free, open-source meeting notes app that transcribes calls on your device, with no bot joining the call.
About DoodleNote
DoodleNote records your microphone and the other side of a call from your own computer, so no bot appears in the meeting, and it works with any meeting app. Transcription runs on your device; notes use a free downloadable local model or your own OpenAI/Anthropic API key. Transcripts have editable speaker labels and timestamps. It merges the transcript with the rough notes you type during the call into a summary with decisions and action items, and you can ask questions about a meeting or across past meetings. The local app is free with unlimited meetings and needs no account. Optional cloud Sync costs $10/user/month, or you can self-host the MIT Sync server. Requires macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon; the Windows version is an unsigned beta. Licensed MIT.
