Crisp
Free, open-source external monitor control for macOS: sharp HiDPI scaling, hardware brightness, presets and more.
About Crisp
Crisp is a native menu bar app that adds the display controls macOS leaves out. It sets up sharp HiDPI scaling on 1440p and larger monitors at full refresh rate, controls real monitor brightness and speaker volume over DDC, pushes XDR and HDR panels into extra brightness, and switches monitor inputs. You can save presets for resolution, brightness, arrangement and HDR, run them from Shortcuts or the crispctl CLI, disconnect displays, switch ICC profiles and create virtual displays. Every feature is free with no Pro tier or license key, and releases are signed and notarized by Apple. Requires macOS 14 or later.
